It is the system that criminalizes them in the early years and limits them their opportunities and sparkles resistance. The lives of these men are criminalized and pipelined through the criminal system in the early age and as such gives rise to the “culture of poverty”. The blacks and Latino youths are always viewed at thieves, thugs, or rats in the perfect white society.
African Americans and Hispanic youths in US experience the horrific “ Social Death”. “Social Death” is a systematic process in youths are over policed, socially rejected, isolated and
prevented form engaging in social relations and comes in the form of punishment and criminalization at the very early age. The police and the judicial system have come to symbolize white power, white racism and white repression. This is reinforced among African Americans and the Latinos by the existence of the police brutality in the name of justice and protection. A “double standard” of policing – one for the whites and one for Blacks and Latinos – still
