The New Deal was a great success. The many things that it has done for the economy and society is incredible. Improving the rights of workers and pushing the limit has done so much.
The New Deal relieved much economic hardship and gave Americans faith in the government. For example, Roosevelt’s first goal was to provide relief to the needy, “... the WPA was set out to create as many jobs as possible.... these workers built 850 airports throughout the country, constructed or repaired 651,000 miles of roads and streets, and put up more than 125,000 public buildings” (pg 498).
