Although we have to write paragraphs directly associated with each Intasc, we have not yet had contact with the Intasc standards in our teaching careers. Talking with Anne was a mind opener, we were able to see how she felt about the classroom being an equal opportunity for all the students. Anne was able to voice her opinion on how students were given equal chances and individualized programs. Looking back at the interview we are able to understand how important Intasc 2 is in the classroom. Each student needs individualized plans because each case is different, some students may respond negatively to different stimuli. For example, some students are more receptive to auditory learning, where others are more receptive to a visual representation of the material. According to the authors of Generalization of Auditory Sensory and Cognitive Learning in Typically Developing Children, most research has demonstrated learning of the trained task or even learning transfer to a closely related task. The trained task, in this case, is the student performing tasks in the classroom, if a teacher were to use either an auditory or a visual based teaching technique the student will be able to follow if the action is repeated. Having repetition will improve the likelihood of the student’s understanding of this
