It has been noted by the authors of ‘The Key Role of Education in Reducing Poverty in South Sudan’ that, “poverty and inequality negatively affect children’s school performance and attendance to school, which perpetuates a vicious cycle of poverty.” (Shimeles and Verdier-Chouchane 162).
