People are opulent, people are unfortunate. People compete naturally, unintentionally, as an economy. But this would never actually condemn or contribute to poverty for an individual. That doesn’t make any sense. What people don’t realize is that America has a high poverty rate due to our gross national product being much higher than other countries. (which is why poverty doesn’t affect them to the degree that it has on America). What this means, is simply that the requirements a.k.a. “basic necessities” to not be considered impecunious in America have risen. While other economies aren’t nearly as competitive. Poverty is not a natural outcome of a competitive economy. Which is a commonly brought up myth when it comes to identifying the causes of poverty. If that were true, then tell me why other European countries experience less poverty than America? Furthermore, spokespersons state that If we really want less poverty, we should adapt to a European-style market and regulations.
Myth #3 depicts that That poverty is caused by the unemployment rate and there should be a full employment policy.
