Often the body language allows to add significant to the speaker and add value and color to the words. All candidates used body language very well, and I believe that all of them had a training or even a teacher that had taught them to use their gestures most effective. Gestures identified much the words and tone in which candidates talked. Trump, for example, handles himself very relaxed and open for any discussion. He seems comfortable with the situation and the question asked; he is sure and believes in every word he says. His gestures are open, and he is not afraid to point at the opponents and gesticulate every word he says. Cruz, however, handles himself very strict, not many hand gestures, but the one he does, are very strict and planned out. He wants people to see his serious intension by staying straight and not litter his space with pointless gestures. Carly Fiorina is also very strict, but I think she is trying to keep herself like that is because she is the only woman on stage, that also deserves a certain respect. John Kasich however was too relaxed with his position and gestures. Hand where floating around with gestures that were not connected with words, he was also leaning on the stand during all his dialog. It turned out to be more the same to my countries politics then I though. Trying to unify nation verses a certain enemy outside, to make nation forget about inner problems was clearly used a lot in USA. Also I realized, being from the country that is seen as an enemy right now, that the words said by Vladimir Putin are rephrased and are taken out of context to make them sound what the politicians want to achieve. Marco Rubio said that Putin wants to bring back Soviet Union, and quoted him “those who do not regret the collapse of Soviet Union have no heart”. However, what Putin said was “those who do not regret the collapse of Soviet Union have no heart, and those that do regret it have no brain”.
