People use these sites to publicize videos or pictures they have taken for the whole world to see. Since the own justice system is just sitting back and letting this attacks happen, the public will take a stand against it. They take videos and pictures that go viral and create hashtags like #BlackLivesMatter to fight racial crimes. Even in the past people use to post pictures or live stream these cruel ordeals, but instead of using social media they used the news on TV and Newspapers. In the book Elizabeth ad Hazel Two Women of Little Rocks by David Margolick we can see how one picture showing verbal brutality went viral worldwide and caused many people even the ones against disaggregation to support Elizabeth. The most controversial picture was taken by Will Counts, “Elizabeth Eckford 15, the first Negro student to attempt entry to Little Rock Central High today, walks down Park followed by a crowed of some 250 shouting whites” (Margolick 62). This quote is a clear description of what happen to Elizabeth a girl, who was verbally abuse and disrespected by not only white kids, but also grown adults. After this picture came out many people from different races came together in support of Elizabeth and went against all the shouting white people, especially Hazel.
