I’ll be talking about police brutality. In my opinion, now days you see cops taking advantage of their power over people. For example they could be shooting innocent people or because they think the person has a weapon or for self defense even though the person didn't have a weapon. Another example would be because the cops think that they can do what they want and get mad when citizens question them. They use a lot more force than they need to and make a bigger deal than it actually is. Cops are starting to use more force. More people are starting to be afraid of cops because they are starting to hurt people and are not protecting us like they should be doing. For the vast majority of citizens, this is something they never have experienced. Similarly, many police officers go their entire careers without ever having to draw their weapon or even engage in a serious physical confrontation in order to protect themselves, or the public, from an offender. A very small percentage of law enforcement officials, however, are guilty of using excessive force against suspects without reason to do so. Cops have even murdered innocent people and they still don’t have any charges against them the only thing that they get is suspension nothing else after they just committed a murder. There have been so many deaths by cops harming the citizens and using too much force many people have lost their family members or friends by the cops just because they've used too much force if we used less force there wouldn't be any deaths. Now we have to stop police officers from using to much force and come up with a consequence for when they hurt the …show more content…
In other countries they never pull out their weapon only if the enemy draws fire first then they use their weapon but in Kansas cops just draw fire whenever they want or they suspect the person has a weapon. But if Kansas cops had full training they would know when to draw fire and how to control the situation if we could be like other countries their wouldn't be any deaths or injuries and we could all be happy again like we used to be and if police officers had more training they wouldn't even have to use that much force because every officer would have professional training like other
