Any singer knows that you are supposed to relax your voice and your shoulders before singing or else it is very hard to breathe properly or get enough air to sing. Next, when I get really anxious I start to hyperventilate and/or treble. This has happened many times during solo performances throughout my singing career. This is usually followed by forgetting the lyrics and, not uncommonly, crying. Anyway, on the whole, learning to control my performance anxiety specifically by really understanding the big picture, putting things into perspective, and getting more confidence in my musical abilities would help me greatly. If I really spend the time practicing different techniques to help me go into a performance with nothing but the typical nerves of a performer, I could give off a performance with greater quality than I have up until now. Last, I also feel that I need to practice more with music theory, to the point that I can recognize my own mistakes without, necessarily, looking at the sheet music. To conclude, I am successfully integrating emotional enhancement aspects of songs into my performances but I still have difficulties with other musical techniques and
