World view can be defined as the mental model of reality or a framework of ideas and attitudes about the world, ourselves and life. Accordingly, worldview can also be defined as the overall perspective from which one sees and interprets the world. As suggested by, (Gibson, & Randall, 1988), it can also be defined as a collection of beliefs about life and the universe held by an individual or a group. Every individual has a worldview and it may not be developed, but nevertheless each individual approaches life based upon a particular worldview.
There are several significance of worldview among which includes; it serves as the necessary foundation and framework for my thoughts and actions. Life needs foundational assumptions and framework of guiding principles to provide thinking with a basic stability, shape and structure.
Accordingly, worldviews are the single greatest influence on the way I interpret my experiences and respond to those experiences.
