Personal Narrative: Middle School

My palms are sweaty and my heart is pounding due to my nerves. I enter the classroom frightened and puffy eyed from crying to my mom. It was my first day of preschool and I was nervous wreck to say the least. The teacher started talking and I realized I didn't understand a word she was saying. From that day on I had to be seated with people who were like me and was put into the ELL program.

During my early years I struggled to learn English since before that all I needed to speak was Spanish. It was difficult but I persevered. For the longest time I loathed the language that caused me so much difficulty. It wasn't until recently that I became fascinated with the subject. It all started in middle school where I developed a passion for music
