Who Is the Most Epic Hero? Odysseus is the most epic hero. After fighting for ten years in the Trojan War, Odysseus and his crew travel home to Ithaca. The face many obstacles and monsters on their journey that should take two weeks but ends up lasting ten years. With his intelligence, gallantry, and leadership, Odysseus is able to overcome all those difficulties and reach his homeland.
When they first reach the Cyclops’s cave, all the men want to steal the goods and leave, but Odysseus refuses to out of curiosity. They decide to burn an offering and wait for the creature who lives in the cave to return. After the Cyclops returns and eats two of the men, Odysseus plans out how to escape, and as the Cyclops is sleeping, they courageously
