In this story, there is some brief discussion about schools and school dress codes. When it comes to me, I went to schooling in India until I was in second semester of sixth grade. In India, schools have uniforms to avoid the “Objectification” of girls. My school wanted us to wear Churidar, which contains a long pant, with a shirt going down till your knees and a scarf that should cover your breast (image at the end). For example, when I was living in India, there were rape cases, but not as many as today. Until 2010ish, in India, most of the women wore Indian clothing and they did not expose as much as they do today. Today, when you go to India, there is so much of western culture than there is Indian culture. Being westernized does not mean that it leads to rape, but the type of clothing people chooses to wear leads to rape.
