ObamaCare, officially known as the the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, is a health care reform law signed by President Obama in 2010. Many of the law’s provisions have been already put into action and more are to follow in the very near future1. Obama care offers patients ways to afford healthcare and get better treatment. ObamaCare promises not only quality healthcare, but also a financial support, for those in need, when it comes to expensive treatment requirements. By issuing Obamacare Obama hopes to reduce the amount of money spent of healthcare in the Unied States.

The Affordable Care Act also known as Obamacare focuses primarily on giving quality healthcare options for people with different financial backgrounds. Before Obamacare is put into aftion currently half of the americans are covered under their employer, and third would get medicaid coverage by the government. One in ten of us will have to purchase their own insurance and less than one in ten, around 30 million, would have no insurance. For those who are covered under their employer Obamacare would be the same for the most part, but their will get additional benefitssuch as free prevanative care and a change in the amount they have to pay out of their pocket. The bigger change on the other hand will be for companies with more than fifty employees. Comanies with more than fifty employees under the new act will be required to cover full time workers.
