Imagine yourself trying to figure out what exactly what scientific and non-scientific evidence means in Criminal Science Investigation? What can these words mean towards crime? In my opinion, I believe that scientific evidence is more convincing than the others because one can hypothesis ones theory, one base knowledge towards evidence given, and one can back up with research given. How can scientific evidence be used in a given trial? Overall, there are many types of evidence. Scientific evidence can be helpful, especially when there are rules and standards that these types of evidence meet before they can use during a trial. Forensic evidence is when one uses specific objects to trace specific evidence one leaves, especially in a crime scene or a certain accident. Eyewitness identification involves selecting from a police lineup or could be something else. After selecting the suspect, most eyewitnesses are asked to make a formal statement. Many eyewitness testimony are misleading and one can change their mind at any given time. For example; a man named Gary Beeman was convicted around 1976, then exonerated in 1979.
