On page 118 Carr writes, “whenever and wherever we log on, the Net presents us with an incredibly seductive blur,” which is showing that the Net is taking over people to where people can’t live without the internet. It is also saying that when people get on the Net that they are instantly intrigued by it and that they fall in love with it. I agree with this evidence because its showing that the Net is powerful and showing that people can’t live life without technology. …show more content…
I agree with this quote because it’s comparing humans to a rat that would go through anything just to get some cheese just like humans would go through anything to have social media.
On page 120 states “we gain new skills ad perspectives but lose old ones,” which is saying while gaining skills about the Net we are losing skills we use to read books like using less imagination. We also lose some of our ability to read linear because on the internet is goes from one end of the screen to the other side. I support this quote because it shows that by using the Net, after so long we start to loose skills we once were able to do and change our perspective on
