Negative Impact of Media on Children Imagine how boring people's lives will be if there is no media in the world. There is a vast variety of media popular today among young students and children. The most typical forms of media include video games, computer games and TV programs. It is an undeniable fact that media is very important in people's daily lives. However, media brings negative influences on young students to some extent. In general, it effects their education, influence the way they think, and they lives with their families. Second, too much media use brings some negative influences on young children's behavior. Teenagers usually rebel, and they often lack good judgment. They like to learn the behaviors which they consider great, but they often don't think about the results. For example, there is a video game called "Bully" which allows the players to act as a tricky student (Ledbedder, 1). The players will follow the bullies, play jokes on classmates and criticize their teachers. In other words, they try their best to have fun by bullying and ignore the consequences. After playing this game, teenagers use the role and behavior in the game in their real lives. It worth noting that media brings adverse influences not only on young students' academic and behavior. Finally, media negatively influence children in communication with their family members. As is mentioned above, students are not good at controlling themselves. Attraction of various media might make students spend too much time in it, so they would have less time to spend with their families, which would be harmful for interaction among family members. A case in point is research on hundreds of kids between six months and 12 years of age.
