Modern family revolves around three suburban families that live in Los Angeles. The first two parents introduced, Phil, who sees himself as the ‘cool’ dad and Claire, the worried mother, are in aspiration for a trustworthy and open relationship with their three teen kids. The first daughter, Haley, who is always trying to grow up fast and is also a very naïve and stereotypical teenage, the other daughter, Alex, who is too clever for her own good and also cares much more about her studies than she does about friends or even a social life and boys, and a rowdy young son who does not always understand the consequences of his actions, Luke, make it challenging for the parents. Claire's dad, Jay, and his Latina wife, Gloria, are raising two sons together, Manny, who is somewhat self-conscious but also mature for his age as well as doing adult-like things, baby Joe, and a pit-bull named Stella.
