People make mistakes all the time. They fail or succeed at things that are important to them. The Kite Runner, is written by Khaled Hosseini who tells the readers about Amir’s life. Amir is a boy who lives with his father Baba. Baba and Amir don’t have a close relationship. Amir is not alone. He has Hassan, a Hazara who works for Baba. Hassan and Ali, his father, were raised with Amir. They were born in Kabul. Amir has to leave Kabul from a war about to break. Amir feels guilty about not standing up for Hassan, so he makes it seem like Hassan has stolen Amir’s new watch. At this point, Amir makes Ali and Hassan leave. Amir moves to America and let’s his demons go and puts Hassan and Ali out of his mind. While Amir fails and succeeds in many activities throughout his life, such as failing at sports or succeeding at writing, he found ways to redeem some of his actions. Even though Amir fails to protect his friend Hassan, he redeems himself by taking care of Sohrab, and also by defending Sohrab from the general. …show more content…
