The ability to develop and nurture relational mindfulness in therapeutic relationships can be helpful in assisting Joseph in uncovering and releasing his psychological suffering (Rogers, 1961). By practicing mindfulness in therapy the therapist can encourage Joseph through self-discovery by means of unwavering compassionate presence, even during times of intense negative effect. The therapist can support Joseph through the difficult path to self-discovery. The therapist can help Joseph in many ways. By teaching and practicing mindful co-meditation, insight dialogue, Joseph can experience the joy, aliveness and peace that can emerge when there is an unconstructed and vulnerable experience between therapist and client that will have a profoundly
