Michael Serazio formulated a statement challenging higher education institutions offering online courses in allowing students to pursue and obtain associate and bachelor degrees. Shown above, he is quoted stating that the modern alternative to the campus based classroom does not offer the student a broad spectrum or module to obtain the educational goals outlined by the by the Jesuit university. Mr. Serazio states he is unclear on how the online classes offer a rounded education. While online students are participating in online discussions with their classmates and professors they are challenged mentally about their ideas. The online group of classmates and college staff provide the environment needed to instill the values and intellectual stimulation wanted during a Jesuit college career. I believe that most student wishing to obtain their degree online already have heart and spirit and it will definitely grow throughout the whole process. On these accounts, the online degree obtained through the online programs will give the student a Jesuit experience needed to fulfill the university's mission
