All throughout grade school, I have learned how African American men greatly influenced our society. Mr. Andrew Young, Mr. Thurgood Marshall, and Mr. Jessie Owens are all prime examples of men who were essential to the growth and development of the African American race. These men have played a large role in breaking social constructs within our communities. They are prominent figures in history, and furthermore, members of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated. The majority of the men I have inspired to be like when growing up, I have discovered that they are “Alpha Men”. In addition, they play a large role in why inspire to be a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, incorporated. The members of this fraternity are amongst the most noble, …show more content…
Not only do “Alpha Men” tend to be the leaders of American society, but they also genuinely care about social issues, hence I share a lot of similar characteristics with the men of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity,
