Medicare Decisions.
We need to start thinking about Medicare, especially when we reach certain age there is always a time in every person’s life where we have to. We need to choose from four different plans for Medicare: A, B, C, and D. The cost and coverage varies depending on the state, so we also need to think about that. It is a challenging decision to make a choice of the plan because since it is so important, every option needs to be studied and considered before signing up into any of the different plans. I as a healthcare provider I believe it is part of my commitment as a nurse offer all the information that would make my patients have a better understanding about Medicare.
What Is Medicare
“Medicare is the federal health insurance program for people who are 65 or older, certain younger people with disabilities, and people with End-Stage Renal Disease (permanent kidney failure requiring dialysis or a transplant, sometimes called ESRD)” (Medicare.gov). Medicare is the Medical coverage for people 65 years old, is a peace of mind for the people that are work all their life and then retirement. Medicare consists of four different plans to cover different services. Part A is the part that covers for hospital services, part B is medical insurance, C is like a combination of A and B and involves private insurances that are Medicare accepted, and the last part is D, this is the part to covers prescriptions.
