I agree with the points that you made in your post. I agree that in politics especially people look to prove their point rather than truly listen to the needs of others and their hate or dislike for another person's idea is stronger than their ability to listen. I like that you stated that you have been not only a victim of violent communication but also communicated violently. I think that is a very real answer, as violent communication is something we all are know for doing. I think that in order to communicate non-violently you have to really know your feelings and be self aware.
