The status of being a world superpower is the goal of most big economy countries and the quest for world dominance can be traced back to the beginning of civilization. Many nations are becoming more independent, economically sound, and we are experiencing growing globally as a human race. With all of these expansions and innovations there has to emerge a new world leader and with the track that the United States is on we will soon have to give up the throne to another nation. There isn’t one single cause to this power shift, in fact they are bound to occur naturally. Internal issues, economic stability, nationalism, and approval of outside countries play major roles in who has the title as king of the earth; articles by Fareed Zakaria, author of The Rise of The Rest, and Michael Barone, author of A Nation Built for Immigrants both offer factual evidence that America is slowly losing its title as the world’s most dominant country due to the rapid growth and development of outside nations. It is no secret that the United States is at the peak of our rise to power, and with our economy just starting to climb out of worst economic crisis since the great depression it’s hard to see the light at the end of the tunnel. We have nothing to worry about, America is not on track to becoming a third world country, and In fact we won’t lose any of our power at all.
