Scout faces a different problem but a more serious problem later in her life. It was the summer of her 2nd grade year. Her dad is assigned a case by the court of Maycomb and, his case is to protect a black man who was accused of raping a white girl. This case brought a lot of change to the Finch household. For instance, their Aunt Alexander, Atticus’ sister, came and stayed with them so that she could help Calpurnia, the Finch’s house servant, look after the kids while Atticus was still at his office late at night. I need to follow what Scout and Jem did after hearing what was wrong with Mrs. Dubose. I need to just listen and either say nothing and just listen. This is also what I need to do with God, just listen. Sometimes I just get caught up in school sports and other things that I forget to stop and listen for what God has to say. I became a Christian really early when I was young, like 4 or 5. But now that I am old enough to drive and do sports I feel like I leave no time for God so sometimes I need to stop and just listen for what he has to say to
