Cassius was so determined to get Brutus to his side; however, he did not go about this in the right way. His actions were deceiving, sadistic, and manipulative. For example, he wrote fake letters to Brutus. Cassius manipulated Brutus to join the conspirators by falsifying letters and bring up his family history with Roman kings. Cassius does this because he is vain and jealous of Caesar; however, he is also smart due to the fact that he knew Brutus had a weakness for saving Rome. People today are often exploited and manipulated to do the will of others. Tricks and deceit are common in today’s society. People ask for the truth and are upset when that is not what they receive; however, those people will turn around and lie and manipulate others. People will judge Cassius for lying and deceiving Brutus, but there is a good chance they do it as well. People should just be honest and then no one would be tricked into doing something they didn’t think was
