Is Gay Marriage Acceptable?
The topic I chose to annotate was gay marriage and how people feel about it in today’s generation. This topic interests me because I’ve always wanted to know how gay’s are so strong in faith of what they believe in. This topic is important because it’s growing in our generation and will have a huge impact on everyone. It will impact civil rights and the government if the law is passed in every state. I narrowed my topic by searching for articles that mainly focus on gay marriage acceptance. This articles explains why normal couples who are having trouble in their marriage become gay and find a partner. There is no information on why this occurs but according to the article “relatively small numbers of same sex couples are marrying or registering as partners” (Badgett 16). One reason why gay people marry in the Netherlands is to receive marriage benefits. This includes shared tax, and other heterosexual marriage rights.
