Introduction The role of technology has evolved tremendously in educational programs from early childhood classrooms to postsecondary adult learning classrooms. Technology in the classroom must not be viewed as an add-on, but as a necessity for designing engaging and meaningful differentiate instruction that meets the needs of all learners. According to Edyburn (2013) there is a need for technology in educational programs “because digital media offers flexibility, tools, and support not available in traditional instructional settings with chalkboard, textbook, paper, and pencil” (Ch. 1.4). This brief composition will discuss strategies to efficiently integrate technology into early childhood education programs, describe how technology can be used to create differentiated instruction for children with special needs and English Language Learners (ELL’s), and demonstrate how early childhood teachers and parents benefit form technology integration.

Educators may use technology tools to communicate and collaborate with educators around the world, reflect-upon their practice, and create environments that foster learning. Technology inclusion helps teachers use their time efficiently and reduces stress. Technology tools such as Live Binders and Symbaloo helps teachers collect and organize data and resources (Kateri, 2016). Teachers can also utilize digital tools such as Class Dojo for classroom management (Kateri, 2016). Technology integration is also a great means for communicating with family members. Early childhood educators may develop classroom websites to keep parents, staff, and members of the community informed about current events, learning goals and objectives, and achievements.
