Observed and documented children’s learning improvement and achievements daily and/or areas requiring special attention. Many people have asked me, “Why do you want to be an Early Childhood Educator?” and “Why do you want to teach young children?” Reflecting on my own experiences, my motivation in Early Childhood Education and Primary Teaching began during my high school year when I volunteered at the elementary school for an event, which I facilitated group activities for young children. My experience in an elementary school had helped me decide that this is the career that I wish to pursue. Thus, I decided to go into the Bachelors of Arts degree in Early Childhood Education at Ryerson University to become an Early Childhood Educator.

Counselors have many strategies that they use when helping a client with their problems, however those strategies come from their beliefs on human nature. That is why I believe one of the most influential times in a person’s life is their childhood, meaning that early childhood experiences may cause a positive or negative affect in one’s behavior. I believe that situations that happen during childhood plays an important role in who that child grows up to be. I believe if a child experiences a time in their life when a situation went from negative to positive, they are most likely going to handle the same situation in a similar manner. This is a time in a person’s life when then grow up into the person their parents raised them to be.…

It is a parents job to expose the a child to their key essentials in early birth so as they develop, they can become knowledgeable throughout life 's events. In the book Children by John W. For the three positions I selected, I thought of an entry level position in which I could “get my feet wet” in and feel it would not be too overwhelming. I feel Early Childhood Educators would be a great way to get to know the community and families, not to mention I already have my Paraprofessional license, in which case it would not be hard to transfer nor with my degree be hard to get the proper teacher licensing. For my second choice as an Educator Director, I felt that I was already involved with the place I would work for and be advancing my degree into an MA would also be an opportunity to advance my career. Having several years of employment in my field and knowing more of what an employer wants, not to mention having the opportunity…

These questions really tied everything together and helped the students think about the important pieces of information so they would remember the next time they bowled. Repetition and question and answer were teaching techniques I witnessed Mr. Dunn use repeatedly throughout the day. Having students recall the information and piece it all together was an excellent way to finish up the class because they could carry the information with them throughout the day. It was interesting watching the second graders. I could quickly tell which ones were the more outgoing class clowns, which were the more athletic type, and which were the quieter ones.…

The photo represents the environment being the third teacher. Children are participating in different activities independently, they are exploring by bringing nature in the classroom. Notice the teacher is the bystander allowing children to express themselves freely and have control over their own learning. There is a comfortableness presented in the children.…

Being a Childhood Educator, in the Headstart program, I am convinced that our young children need to be exposed to positive role models to become successful role maker in life. However, the role models could be a family member, a teacher, a friend or whoever has contact with the child during the growth and development stages. In my opinion, I believe what children learn could be an advantage or disadvantage to their future in our society. As Early Childhood Educators, we should make sure that the right standards are in place for children, such as providing them with an environment that is conductive to cultural diversity. First, we should foster children and families cultural such as teaching them their differences and similarities with respect.…

Whether it be action research or any other form of research it is crucial to take into consideration any ethical issues that may arise (Lodico, Spaulding, and Voegtle, 2010). One major reason to consider ethical issues is to protect children and also protect the researcher (Taylor, Bond, and Woods, 2013). The Nuremberg Code in 1949 which was created in the response to the Nazis’ research atrocities have influenced today’s research ethical codes (Robert-Holmes, 2014). Ethical issues include protecting the child’s privacy, confidentiality and vulnerability (NSPCC, 2017). Taylor, Bond and Woods (2013) mention that it is important that informed consent and assent must be gained from the children involved in the research before the research is…
