Instead of the government enforcing no religious freedom, it is the Islamic extremists, which Americans think they know all too well. Terrorist groups like the Taliban, al Qaeda, and ISIS are not strangers to news headlines around the world, but what about the side that is less reported, the side that shows brutality towards groups of people for what they believe in. “Christians have lived in Iraq for nearly two millennia but are currently on the verge of extinction”(Open Doors USA). Iraq is locked in what many people would call a civil war, one side fighting for an autonomous government, and the other cleansing the country of all religions besides Islam.
