Different forms of treatments comforts patients in different ways, so patients’ complementary therapies to assist in their wellbeing. They have the right to choose their form of treatments; complementary and alternative therapies. The purpose of this paper is to bring to readers the understanding of complementary therapies, types of complementary therapies, historical background and context, regulation and uses; EBP and research utilization in the traditional environment of complementary therapies. DEFINITION
Complementary therapies are a form of treatment patients receive with their conventional medical treatments or mainstream care. They can help with cancer, depression, nerves, musculoskeletal problems, anxiety, arthritis and many more.
