In order to comprehend the exact implications of chronic low back pain (CLBP) amongst adults and how the use of complementary and alternative medicine (CAMs) may assist in reducing the pain, one must also analyze the source towards this goal. The impact of CLBP on adults and their willingness to try CAMs need to be analyzed. Even though back pain is one of the most common chronic pain conditions that most adults suffer from, it is also one of the most poorly studied conditions (Rudy, Weiner, Lieber, Slaboda, and Boston (2007) and Sherman et al. (2004). CLBP is also known to be the reason of costly and rising health care costs (Rudy et al., 2007 and Sherman el al., 2004).
With the use of a level III cross sectional design, Rudy et al., (2007)
