Immigration is what founded this great nation of ours. To deny immigration is to deny one 's own self. Many people of the past and present have been opposed to immigration but some Americans do not seem to look at the progress immigrants have done and are doing for our country which should be recognized. For example we have our Democrat and Republican parties. Democrats along with organizations such as the Fair Immigration Reform Movement which are led by a group of 44 organizations from across 32 states around the country committed to immigrant rights, which are of course more lenient on immigration; they believe it is in our best interest to make immigrants citizens through a strict process. Meanwhile many Republicans believe that immigrants should be sent back to where they came from and do not believe that they should be granted citizenship. These same beliefs also rally up in some organizations such as the American Immigration Control Foundation which are about strictly enforcing the current immigration laws and increasing penalties for those who knowingly transport, recruit, solicit, or hire illegal immigrants. For most immigrants the main reason they come to America is in search of opportunities that their country may not have. My family came to America with hope of creating a sustainable future for their family. My mother came to America so that I would have the education and childhood she never received as a child, because she dropped out when she was in…
