C. Eric Lincoln studied at UCLA in 1967 and he learned that the problem of negative association with blackness which connects to the saying Dr. Pamela said “ when you see me, you revert back to the stereotypes about my black body. That stuck with me and became very beneficial to my learning because now it makes me want to dig deeper and discover why the stereotypes associated with blacks exist and continue you to exist if we are in a different time than before. This event gave me courage to enlighten people about nationwide issues dealing with the african american community and to try and fing solutions to make a change or us.
I would most definitely recommend this lyceum activity to other students i would even re attend it myself; i most definitely encourage this event for everybody young and old so they can become aware of issues going on and so we can try to make a difference as one. We have to stick together to overcome the stereotypes that people have conceive about us black people based off race,appearance, and history of ancestors. We need to find a way to beat the odds society has set for us as
