How does knowledge of the foundations and history of nursing provide a context in which to understand current practice?
Every organization has the beginning and the past. Nursing has come a long way in the society. Women have ever been in charge of others’ physical health care. Look at the mothers, their roles in the household as a home maker and a cares taker. The nursing profession started from home, where mother takes cares of physical aspect of the humans. Women plays vital role in nurturing children, their husbands and the entire household, this makes a woman be a special nurse to their homes. Florence Nightingale as a woman in the Crimean war plays a major roles by helping in the reduction of the mortality and morbidity rate among the wounded soldiers and the ideas of the preventive measure that she brought in order to save guard the health of the other soldiers.

When I see the degree holder in nursing around me, there is a lot impartation of knowledge and information in them. Their critical thinking functionality is superb, they speak as a professionals, gives information about ongoing research and their evidence based practices in terms of education has really influenced my decision to gets my degree. There is need to improves in the skill, equip with more information through education and continue in standards of care and quality of life is very paramount in nursing practices. Nursing is changing every day with new information through the evidenced based research and one need to be current at all
