American Activist who stood up and helped the black race become equal to the whites
in society. Not only does everyone call Martin “King”, because it’s his last name, but
because he is a man ruler.
King was born on January 15, 1929 in Atlanta, Georgia. His parents are Michael
King Sr. and Alberta Williams King. He has three siblings and is the middle child of
Christine King and Alfred Danielle Williams King.
King’s father was a Baptist minister that was in charge of children moral and
religious education. Martin attended Yonge Street Elementary School than Booker. T
Washington High School. He was so intelligent, he skipped two grades in high school.
