When we feel out of control in various areas of our lives; whether it be from our unstable marriage, finances, ability to achieve success, fear of failure, sense of lack or fear of not being validated, we tend to self-sabotage our efforts to create a happier, more fulfilling quality of life. We self-sabotage ourselves because our subconscious mind controls what we think and do. When we let it run wild our emotions will run wild also.
Luckily, we can take control of our thoughts by organizing our emotions and the meaning behind them. To overcome limiting emotions, pay attention to how you feel and what the meaning is behind that emotion.
To help you better know where you are emotionally you can do this simple exercise to find out where you are on the emotional scale.

• On a piece of paper, draw a line down the middle of it. On the left side, write down all the unwanted, disempowering emotions you experience on a daily or weekly basis. Pay attention to the meaning you associate with those emotions.
