This paper will provide an overview of the history and theory of systems applied to organizational learning. There will be a discussion on the background theoretical material highlighting specific strategies for applying organizational learning principles addressing the legal and ethical aspects of FTCC; thus it will include the organizational dynamics of FTCC. A description of the way Senge’s application of systems thinking in schools symbolizes the principles of action science will be examined in this paper.
Organizational Learning History Overview Organizational learning concepts were intertwined with the views the Industrial Age; subsequently, they began to evolve towards the end of the 20th century. During the Industrial Age, learning assumptions were inevitable as systems embodied them; subsequently, the learning assumptions were deemed as a model that was at odds with theories and beliefs adopted by people (Senge et al., 2012).
There were five assumptions that were not aligned with the theory of organizational learning at the end of the 20th century. The first assumption that children are deficient and schools fix them was comparable to machines; subsequently, machines cannot fix themselves and need to be fixed when broken, this was not a fit for children that are living systems (Senge et al., 2012).
