The world relies on fossil fuels, an energy source that produces a lot of pollution and will not be around forever. Eventually, the world will run out of fossil fuels and will be caught in an energy crisis if countries such as the United States do not begin to explore possible alternatives. Clinton promises to “expand the nation’s solar capacity 700 percent by 2020 and ensure that renewable energy sources contribute to at least a third of the nation’s energy generation” (Yachnin).
