An individual should be given a treatment plan with goals to treat anxiety. The treatment plan should occasionally be revisited to tailor the treatment plan to meet the client's needs effectively, characteristics and anxiety level. I was unaware that those who seek treatment, may not have had an understanding of their existing problem. The understanding of anxiety and information on how to deal with anxiety is beneficial for the client to learning the skills to manage it. Psychoeducational interventions such as cognitive behavior therapy (CBT) with individuals as well as groups. I have to come to understand that CBT groups may have real benefits, but they may also have challenges. The advantages of group therapy include the therapist being able to work with more than one client in a treatment session and the participants with similar issues can share similar experiences that will benefit one another. I will apply the knowledge I gained about the effectiveness of group therapy. I conclude that the author has given me insight how to understand and use group process to optimize outcomes. In conclusion, CBT group therapy has proven to be effective in treating and preventing anxiety. Group models have demonstrated to better clinical efficiency and easier access to an acceptable form of treatment. Group therapy provides clients with the benefit of connecting with others who share similar challenges. Cognitive behavior group therapy is an intervention that I would integrate into my counseling practice. However, it critical that I take into consideration of existing influential factors such as life is at times unfair and unjust and facing the basic issues of my life and death.
