The Local government supports their school districts through taxes. According to (Webb 2010), the principal source of local tax revenue is meant for schools is the ad valorem tax on real property, commonly referred to as the local property tax. The most money that goes to schools comes from state and federal governments. According to (Webb 2010), all but five states have a sales tax, and all but seven have a personal income tax. Many states use the profits from the lottery to fund public elementary and secondary schools. State government takes money from the Federal government and distributes it to local school districts. The state also fund local school districts based on grant. The federal government sends the funds directly to the states and local school districts. The local school has to meet the standards set up by the state before they can receive the money. According to ( Ed.gov),the federal government gives about 7% of a public school's funding. The federal government also gives grants to help school districts in hopes to improve the quality of their education and make reforms. There are a few ways for schools to receive the grants from the federal government. The ESEA is the Elementary and Secondary Education Act was put in to play in 1965.This was suppose to improve and give equality in education for children in low-income families. The No Child Left Behind Act, was an modernize version of the Elementary and Secondary Act delivered in 2001. According
