However, these messages are effectively spread through government reports, news reports, historical revision, books, leaflets, radio, movies and posters. In the past postal letters were used but in the modern information age, they are no longer required since they are generally considered to be time wasting and rather ineffective. (Göbel, 2012)
As for the case of television and radio, government propaganda can be spread in the form of news, talk show segments, current affairs, public service announcements and advertisements and even as long standing advertorials. It is important to note that regardless of the channel or the means of communication used, most government propaganda campaigns follow through a certain strategic mission with a view of indoctrinating the target groups or individuals. (Lee, 2005)
The most notable part about government propaganda is that the messages will in most instances contain some elements of directions on how to get more information through a website or a radio program for that matter. This sort of a strategy comes with the intention to initiate the individual from just being an information recipient but also a seeker of the same information. There are many other techniques that are ideally used to get government propaganda out there to the intended audience. (Lee, 2005)
