God separated the light from the darkness. The existence of light depends on the being of God. God is wholly independent of His creation. When God created everything, He did it effortlessly and without difficulties. Biology classes tell us every living creature on earth has to gain energy, which is ultimately from the sun. The Evolution of all the living organisms owe God a beginning. God is the ultimate source of light (Waltke, 61) . It is a rebuke for the worship of Sun as a god.
c. God’s will for people
We are to worship the Creator. The fact that we are creatures should give us an attitude, the reverence to God. His existence is beyond our comprehension. Yet because of His love, He showed Himself through His words and deeds in our lives. He is transcendent yet omnipresent. God belongs to another category. He is timeless yet he is in time. We should worship yet we also need a close relationship with Him.
We are to listen to His Word. God’s identity is showed through His deeds and His Words. His deeds are because of His Words. Therefore, if I want to have a closer relationship with God and know His will, I will spend more time meditating on His words. His words are the source of our guidance and decision-making advices.
