Global warming has always been a thought in the back of scientist heads and they knew that it could eventually happen because of the heating of the greenhouse gases in the atmosphere, but in the early 1990’s, scientists had discovered that global warming was quickly becoming an issue on Earth and according to many researches, 97% of those scientist say that humans are the reason for it. According to the PBS documentary, “the climate has gone up 4-5 degrees in just the last fifty years in Alaska, while it should only rise one temperature a year.” The climates are migrating and causing disasters in new regions.
For those who are unaware, according to, “global warming is the increasing of the Earth’s average surface temperature due to the greenhouse gases, such as carbon dioxide and methane, that are collected in the atmosphere, taking the heat from the sun and trapping it in the atmosphere and causing Earth to heat up”. UN states that, “global warming is the biggest threat to our world today.” Also, according to, “the 10 warmest years have occurred since 2000 in a 134-year record and 2014 has ranked number one on that record as the warmest year.” Carbon dioxide is one of the greenhouse gases that helps trap the heat inside of the atmosphere. Carbon dioxide is also released quite often by humans from burning fossil fuels and deforestation. Ever since this discovery by scientist, global warming has been a big debate…
