Though there are fears surrounding this, there is some hope in the fact that the U.S. dropping out could cause China to take leadership for the future of the world’s climate. There is also the knowledge that America dropping out will not stop individual states like California from continuing its effort to reduce emissions. Soon after the UNFCCC (United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change) found that if we raise the Earth two degrees above what it was before industrialization, we will see large, harmful changes to our current environment.
