Zeilinger uses humor to point out the excess of gender roles for men. For something to be prescribed it means to be assigned. This word applied to gender roles in a way that as a male you don’t chose what you are viewed as, what you are viewed as is assigned to you by other people. Same for a female, as a women you don’t pick and chose your gender stereotypes. They are given to you.
The essay “The Problem with Female Superheroes” is written in an informative technique to inform the reader on how female superheroes mold the thinking of the female and male audience. While this essay is more argumentative because it doesn’t state specific facts but its arguing that men also are gender stereotyped along with women.
