The female Mexican artist Frida Kahlo, famous for her self-portraits and her own personal experiences occurring during the period of her life where she was having an identity crisis “along with the rest of the post-revolutionary Mexico” (Frida Kahlo - Identity/Duality, Gillingham, Amie). A lot of her identity crisis revolved around both her separation from her homeland and the struggles and problems that it was facing.
