Explain What Role Does Money Play In The Elizabethan Era

In the Elizabethan era power is money. The highest of the highest have the most respect and nobility. With respect and nobility comes privileges like sports, doctors, and many other privileges.On the thought of sports you must have a few things that may grant you access and some that may deny you of access. The “referees” were very picky about their choices of athletes and competitors. They were allowed to allow anyone or deny anyone and everyone. Although they could allow anyone, they would usually only allow the noblest with lots of money. Most nobles would also have other advantages such as servants. Servants can be bought. They can also be won over by having respect for yourself and also the ones around you. In other terms, only the nobles could play sports because of money, respect, and servants. First, money leads to having a better chance to play in the games, because they can buy more useful things. Money helps them buy the required equipment that they would need if they were in the games or if they sponsored someone that was in the games. Money helps with the equipment by letting them buy the best and lightest equipment, this can improve how they play in the games, but it may also improve their entry into the games because if they look like they know what they …show more content…
Servants can carry their things into the games, that way they will not have to work for themselves. They help with making it into the games to where they do not exert energy on useless things, this way you can make it into the quarterfinals, semifinals, and maybe even the finals because they did not waste their energy. They can go further into the games by having their servants do the useless work. They can also have the servants compete in the games for them. The servants might just be better than them at the games. They also can be fresh while they may be tired and no longer willing to
