Evolution “the process by which different kinds of living organisms are thought to have developed and diversified from earlier forms during the history of the earth.” Through on a large scale of evolution or a long term series of mutations, genetic effect, exodus (migration), and natural selection, it shows the genetic similarities and diversities in the world. Evolution on a small scale is called microevolution or “microphylogenesis”, relating to the changes that occur such as insects and other simple creatures becoming resistant to pesticides. Or any change that occurs to an organism in a short amount of time. On the other hand Macroevolution refers to the grand 1000 scale. It is associated with extinction, stabile growth or vice versa, and ancestry.
When Charles Darwin and Jacques Charles formally introduced the theory of evolution it was a very controversial subject because of high presence of the theory of Creationism backed up by Christianity. Charles Darwin was born in England and originally planned to take up a career in the practice of medicine. When that didn’t work study out, he switched to religion (he was very well known). Later he took a five year expedition on the HMS Hectometer Beagle. During his time on board Darwin read the “Principles of Geology” that stated there was geological or rock evidence of ancient animals While on the Galapagos Islands he noticed that the finches on the each island were closely related but different in big ways.
